The coating unit (Coater) is used in the paper industry in paper and cardboard production lines for applying, feeding and evenly coating the front and, if necessary, the back of the product.
The actual coating is achieved with a spreading roller; application and uniform distribution is achieved with a rotating rod or scraper blade.
